Why call it Corgi Tales? Well, first of all, Pembroke Corgis don't usually have tails. It's meant as a pun . . . but I'm also sharing stories.
Years ago, I was in a display/fixture store. The store was decorated in October for the upcoming holiday seasons. A well-dressed woman walks into the store. She was elegant in her stylish hat and beautiful knit red suit (she wore a St. John!) . . . walking with her was a short mysterious dog. The dog had a beautiful face, amazing demeanor and an air of confidence. I approached the woman and inquired about her well-behaved companion. Her eyes lit up and she was more than happy to elaborate about her Pembroke Welsh Corgi and how over the years she'd had many dogs, but her Corgi was by far the most intelligent and had the most amazing qualities. Up to that point in my life, I had never seen or heard of a Corgi. I quickly jotted the name of the breed down and had Corgi on my mind for the years following.
A couple of years later a beautiful tri-color corgi puppy adopted and stole our hearts. Dockers is our ambassador to the Corgi-kind -- and what an ambassador he is! I'll share more about my noble corgi and the two more (which makes three) corgis that have since adopted us. So this is Corgi Tales from the past, present and new tales of our furkids.
Who's Behind The Lens?
I'm just a regular gal married to a very supportive and loving high school sweetheart.
For the last decade I've been a programmer, Web applications developer/designer. I'm also a photographer incorporating my photography in my blogs, Corgi Tales and TeenieCakes (a foodie blog). My Corgi furkids are a favorite subject because I'm passionate about 'em and attempt to capture their personalities through my lens from my perspective of them.
The plan with the CorgiTales blog is to one day have it printed as a personal photo book/coffee table book for me and my husband to enjoy. When I read back on posts I wrote even a year ago, the stories are new all over again. Little details are forgotten quickly. What better way to journal some of our experiences and silly this-and-that's about our kids than a blog.
The 52 Weeks of Corgis Photography Project
52 Weeks of Corgis is a personal photography project I started this year. It's never too late to start a personal project like this. Please join me if you think this is something you'd enjoy doing and sharing on the blogosphere.

Flashback Moments
I'm calling this "Flashback Fridays". On some Fridays, I'm digging through my collection of archived photos I've taken over the years and sharing images of our furkids from years past. These images may be of our Corgi Boys, our first furkids that were not Corgis or images taken recently that didn't get posted but were memorable too. Many of these photos will be from my pre-digital photography days.

Welcome! I hope you'll visit Corgi Tales often and please, introduce yourself!
